Bill Sims is a leadership speaker, author and leadership workshop developer. Bill is also President of The Bill Sims Company, Inc. For more than 40 years, the Bill Sims Company has created behavior-based recognition programs that have helped large and small firms to inspire better performance from employees and increase bottom line profits.
Bill’s book entitled Green Beans & Ice Cream-The Definitive Recipe for Employee Engagement, Motivation and Recognition is based on this seminar and his experience having built more than 1,000 recognition programs since. More than 1,000 firms have benefited from consulting with Bill, including Dupont, Disney, Siemens VDO, Coca-Cola, and Ford, to name a few.
Bill Sims has spoken at the American Association Of Safety Engineers (ASSE’s) annual Professional Development Conference’s in San Antonio, Baltimore and recently in Chicago to international Health Safety and Environment (HSE) professionals and corporate management. He has been a keynote speaker and leadership speaker at a vast number of conferences globally; for example; the National Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH/NIOSH) in Scotland, the Saudi Council of Engineers and at many more locations in the Middle East, Europe, Australia, South Africa and more.
Consistently high ratings of nearly 95% from attendees.
Bill was a keynote speaker at the Annual N.C. Workman’s Compensation Education Conference and at the National Safety Council Congress & Exposition. He has already been booked by the American Association Of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Middle East and Kuwait chapters to address a large number of international conference delegates – about 1000 in Bahrain and over 500 in Kuwait representing technical and corporate management executives from the major Middle Eastern oil, gas, petrochemicals companies and also from their multi-billion dollar associated expansion construction project corporations.
One of the reasons Bill’s presentations are consistently well received is that he delivers the message in understandable language, and illustrates his points with industry relevant examples and anecdotes so that people can quickly understand these methods and find ways to immediately apply them in the real world. This might be why 97.2 percent of the participants of the National Safety Council Conference & Expo in Anaheim, CA, and also throughout Saudi Arabian oil, gas and petrochemical corporations evaluated his sessions as “providing new information and skills” and 91.3 percent stated that the information he shares is “valuable for practical application.”

Talent Management Forum Keynote, Athens Greece
“I had the pleasure to attend your presentation in the Talent Management Forum last week in Athens. It was actually the most interesting topic for me, but with the less time dedicated to it!!
Your presentation was one of the main reasons I attended the forum. Therefore I was delighted that I could eventually have more material on the topic and so I decided to email my request for all the material you provide (Info on Smartcard behavior-based recognition, Blue Ribbon story & blue ribbon, complete copy of your presentation on video & powerpoint, links to the research referenced in this workshop). Looking forward to hearing from you.”
- “You visited Athens for just 2 days, yet you left your mark!
- You impressed an audience at the Talent Management Forum of 18 May (I personally saw many evaluation forms with a 5 out of 5 score, which is rare for Greeks)
- You created a ‘fan’ mail among the audience (I thank you for copying me on it)
- You generated an enquiry for partnership
“Wow! We must get you back. I was speaking on the phone with the colleagues running conferences in Cyprus this week, and I mentioned your name as a future speaker on their HR event.
ASTD Chapter Keynote
I am the VP of Member Involvement for the Richmond, VA chapter of ASTD here in the US. I also founded and manage our chapter’s Executive Share Group designed for training executives responsible for the strategic direction of the training function within their corporation. Each corporation represented has a minimum of 1000 employees. Since founding the group in April 2008, it has become abundantly clear to me that training executives recognize the need that they and their internal clients have regarding understanding the science of behavior and how that relates to improving performance. Bill addresses the essential issues clearly and effectively.
Registrations for Bill’s presentation increased 32% over our highest headcount for any event over the past 12 months. It was standing room only.
Bill’s energy and presentation content kept the crowd engaged. It was clearly a highlight for our chapter as I look back over the past 2 years. I can heartily recommend Bill for any event you are planning.

Bill did an incredible job with my group in Charleston in February. We received such positive feedback that I recommended him to my national organization for inclusion in our upcoming national program. Bill has a talent for delivering his content in an extremely engaging and enthusiastic way. His topics are timely and inspiring. I have no doubt you would be pleased to include him in your program.
